Triathlons are my New sport and I LOVE IT

Recent last few years  as I havent done much since I was 16/17yrs, on and off injuries, going out with Friends started. Operations on injuries- compartment syndrome front of the shin had small operation to release the pressure on the fascia.

Oct 2007.  Did the great north run.  ( I was in the elite ladies race, against Kara Goucher and Paula Radcliffe, Im sure u Americans will recall that race).

I was just in on my previous times from the Bath Half Marathon. I ran it as best as I could off my training & circumstances...

Decided to do my 1st Marathon with London looming in the following April I was in the ladies Elite race again.  So the training was on.  I realise now I didnt give my body enough time to recover as it did break down in the last 5 weeks of my training. Injury bound, with calf and hamstring problems I raced!

London Marathon, April 08 (Injury calf issues) 1st marathon  3hrs.12mins .30 secs

Dublin Marathon  Oct 08  3hrs.01mins.13  undulating and 1 toilet stuck/stop (LOL)

Bath Half 2007    1.26.35 hrs

Wilmslow half marathon english champs    1.25.39

18th lady  (With piriformis injury ).

Liverpool 10k 2008 Oct 37.42mins midst marathon training

Wirral 5k 2009 17.41mins off the back off marathon week

Track 3000ms 10.45mins  hmmm I ran this to get points for my club so I just did tactical and ran on 1st lady shoulder and sprinted at the end !

As a youngster

County Champion for Xcountry and

High Jump

and 1500ms track.

pbs aged 13 yrs old

800ms 2mins 16secs

1500ms 4mins 48 secs

high jump 1metre 53  (cant do this now) and I never trained for it as a kid, just competed alot for points for my club, usually spend 2 hours highjumping, and skip off to do an 800 or 1500ms race then go back to high jump, Wish I took the running more seriously!

Run on more than several occasions for my County against Ireland county of Dublin.

Top 50 finnisher at 14yrs of age in english nationals Xcountry.

Session day today..... but gonna go shopping 1st yes me shopping ha ha probably end up at the sports shop again!

I Always wear nike trainers not because theyre Nike but because they dont cause me any problems with my feet so I stick to whats good for me.  I always treat myself to some Nike Id trainers for my marathon....

1st pair left shoe Dylan and right shoe Dylan

2nd marathon   Sam on the right shoe and Sub 3 on the left well I missed it by 1 min so not doing that again!

3rd Marathon I have upto 8 letters on each trainer so any Ideas ????? please

Okay what a bum deal I had another session end prematurely I am not sure why these sessions are not going right but I have one or two guesses.....

1 mile warm up

2.5 mile tempo run 6.30 pace stopped at 2.5 should have at least completed 3 miles at the least but I felt so sick I wanted to throw up, so I stopped and couldnt even get going again so just jogged in 1.5 miles.  I either have to eat more as I do eat more for my long runs and I seem to be ok on my long runs.... or Im just getting too stressed out I have had stomach ulcers in the past and my stomach is all over the place at the moment so Im just trying to cope with eating the right foods for this and not go on more medication but if needs must I will take the meds !

Not a happy bunny, also fed up I dont take to not being in my routines I like routines and love to keep busy.... I do need to rest up this week but my mind is not letting me.

but these cheered me up

Oh no about ulcers. Take a deep breath and relax. Think happy thoughts.

Sorry to hear about that, do you have a virus/bug? Have you started eating something different? Maybe you are allergic/intolerant to something?

From sam Dean-Howard on Wed, Oct 28, 2009 at 07:24:50 from 90.201.147.206

Thanks Chris, but I am pretty sure its stomach ulcers, Ive actually started on homeopathic stuff this morning and it feels loads better, I just have to try keep taking those actimel drinks to keep the stomach acid lower and lined !

Previously Ive been allergic to wheat and cut it out for 6 months and then slowly introduced it back I hope its not that because its hard getting enough carbs down you when your cutting out wheat :-)

The important question is did you get some new shoes?

Drinking even normal milk should lower acidity I would think as milk is neutral.

Thankgod I havent yet been caught, my bike does 165 topspeed not reached that yet! and yes speed does seduce you, the thing is trying to hang on at those speeds and paying attention and steering as the slightest movement and you move quite some way and no im probably not going to attempt it or admit it publicly

great name though or did they make this up LOL

Neil Purves, 27, of Cockburnspath come on is there such a place cock burns path by doing 166mph ha ha
