Triathlons are my New sport and I LOVE IT

Recent last few years  as I havent done much since I was 16/17yrs, on and off injuries, going out with Friends started. Operations on injuries- compartment syndrome front of the shin had small operation to release the pressure on the fascia.

Oct 2007.  Did the great north run.  ( I was in the elite ladies race, against Kara Goucher and Paula Radcliffe, Im sure u Americans will recall that race).

I was just in on my previous times from the Bath Half Marathon. I ran it as best as I could off my training & circumstances...

Decided to do my 1st Marathon with London looming in the following April I was in the ladies Elite race again.  So the training was on.  I realise now I didnt give my body enough time to recover as it did break down in the last 5 weeks of my training. Injury bound, with calf and hamstring problems I raced!

London Marathon, April 08 (Injury calf issues) 1st marathon  3hrs.12mins .30 secs

Dublin Marathon  Oct 08  3hrs.01mins.13  undulating and 1 toilet stuck/stop (LOL)

Bath Half 2007    1.26.35 hrs

Wilmslow half marathon english champs    1.25.39

18th lady  (With piriformis injury ).

Liverpool 10k 2008 Oct 37.42mins midst marathon training

Wirral 5k 2009 17.41mins off the back off marathon week

Track 3000ms 10.45mins  hmmm I ran this to get points for my club so I just did tactical and ran on 1st lady shoulder and sprinted at the end !

As a youngster

County Champion for Xcountry and

High Jump

and 1500ms track.

pbs aged 13 yrs old

800ms 2mins 16secs

1500ms 4mins 48 secs

high jump 1metre 53  (cant do this now) and I never trained for it as a kid, just competed alot for points for my club, usually spend 2 hours highjumping, and skip off to do an 800 or 1500ms race then go back to high jump, Wish I took the running more seriously!

Run on more than several occasions for my County against Ireland county of Dublin.

Top 50 finnisher at 14yrs of age in english nationals Xcountry.

15.18 miles (frustrating Id say whats with the 0.18 miles thats gonna annoy me so much ahhh)

1hr 58 mins average 7.49 pace

  •  8.11  warming up
  • 7.33 not bad hilly route fishermans path
  • 7.30 still abit undulating
  • 7.18 hmmm cross wind from behind
  • 7.43 trying to hold back to make 15 miles
  • 7.57 cross head wind and still holding back
  • 8.10 head wind direct really strong gusting wind urggh
  • 7.42 head wind on looking to my side at Paul he has a very red face cycling LOL
  • 7.40 still cross wind its hard when a gust of wind side steps you lol and I nearly knock Paul off his bike ha ha ha
  • 7.42  mile 10 cross wind urghhhh
  • 7.24 sheltered now and happy how good does that feel coming out of wind and into shelter I was zooming along.
  • 6.58 picking the pace up still completely sheltered on the by-pass high hedges :-)
  • 7.04 direct head wind I was running at 6 min effort honestly due to the fact Pauls bike had a puncture we were about 0.5 mile from home so I gave it some juice and race hard there and back so he could fix the puncture and the idea now was to stretch whilst he fixed the bike and jog and end on 15 miles which I did very slowly as my legs stiffened up so much waiting for paul to fix the bike, even though I stretched
  • 8.31 mile 14 ouch
  • 8.28 mile 15 ouchie ouch ouch
Nothing to report except for seeing some road kill yes a Pheasant, oh and Paul thought I was weird moooing at the cows as I ran past but I thought it was funny.... oh and red van man beeping and waving at me havnt a clue who it was but Paul thought I was fibbing, but he just laughed in the end and so did I  LOL why do the male species beep at you when your so obviously running with a man...I mean I know theyre stupid and beep at you when Im running but I just ignore them even when they hang out the window I just turn up my ipod unless Iknow them of course !

Okay I had fuelled for this knowing the weather would be real bad and the fact I boinked on a 12 miler the other day.... I had a normal size meal last night but mostly carbs and this morning well I had a bacon butty he he and then a chicken supreme at McD's naughty naughty girl but it worked I ran pretty well.... My coach thinks the weather would have made it more like an 18 miler training run it was rough out so Id agree, and why are all the miles either a cross wind or head on would have been nice to have wind behind me lol.

So all in all a great start to my week way to go and big pat on me back he he

Along the route I had my camera thankfully as I caught Chris Munro hiding in a road sign why I think he was hiding from the wind (no need to photoshop this picture eh!)  LOL

and then I spent 2 mins photoshopping you mr pink panther with your hair that looks like the size of a tree LMAO

Well done on the long run, the 6:58 might count as a fat mile?

LOL @ the picture, the second one is too small for me to see!

Yep, men are dumb.

I saw a dog staring at me out of a car window. I tried to whistle at it. I discovered I can't whistle while I'm running. LOL!

What a windy run! I've said hi to the cows before but did not attempt to moo in case I was saying a bad word to them.
