Triathlons My New LOVE Running Blog at FastRunningBlog.Com Fri, 22 Nov 2019 08:43:07 FeedCreator 1.7.2 Mon, Sep 26, 2011 <p>UPDATE to my progress and the hip problems Ive been waiting for this since May 2011</p><p>xrays 3 weeks ago showed a floating piece of bone from the attachment of the piriformis or maybe the hamstring pull..... anyway Ive figured this was from the Wilmslow half as I was in so much pain even though I pb'd I knew at the time I was fitter but my hip wouldnt put up with the hills so thinking it was a muscle strain I iced and rested it unknown to me it was a bone break off LOL</p><p>and here today;</p><p><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(64, 69, 71); font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; ">Rest day due to an arthrogram MRI scan basically I had four deep painful injections into my hip bone and joint with fluid pumped in to it in a theatre environment I wasn't prepared for this and the consultant was quite rough I had tears rolling down my face especially on the last one into the bone .... After this I was wheeled to the scan machine omg I get claustrophobic and yeah I panic and yes I panicked in the damn machine again tears rolling down my face I had stomach cramps and such pain in my hip having to hold still for so long it was horrendous nightmarish for me urghh booooo damn machine !!!! So I get results in nearly 2 weeks that's week on Friday boooo Sammy no happy bunny today I could only shuffle to the car and can't sleep as I have to gave a pillow between my knees and the codein ain't working fully</span></p><p>I have been able to train uptill this procedure hoping a few days rest and I will be back on it and hopefully I want to race a tri this weekend fingers crossed then results a week on Friday :)&nbsp;</p> Mon, 26 Sep 2011 06:00:00
